WORKERS COMPENSATION BOARD (WCB) CLAIMS
Dr. Farrell and Dr. Campbell are NOT WCB contracted providers and do not accept new or active WCB claim patients for treatment.
Patients with new or active WCB claims for work-related injuries are encouraged to contact their claims representative for a list of Edmonton chiropractors or acupuncture providers contracted to WCB in their area.
Patients who seek therapy outside contracted WCB providers for work injuries may jeopardize their claim entitlement. Before obtaining any unauthorized treatment for a claimed workplace injury, patients are advised to obtain written approval from their case worker before booking an appointment.
Dr. Farrell & Dr. Campbell can offer an independent assessment of your case. You will be required to make payment for any related visits. Our office will not bill WCB claims directly or on your behalf and does not follow their mandated fee schedule. Fees paid to our office for any services will be provided with a receipt and need to be paid by the patient at the time of service. The patient will need to seek any reimbursement from WCB directly. Our experience is that fees for services obtained outside WCB authorized providers are rarely reimbursed by WCB.
Our office does not complete WCB paperwork.
Any reporting required or requested that results from an independent review of your case will be charged at your practitioner's report writing rate. WCB will unlikely reimburse these fees.
Following an independent case review, should a patient wish to pursue treatment with our office for a WCB injury claim, written authorization from their WCB case manager approving such care outside WCB services will be required. All payments for such services will need to be made by the patient at the time of service. Patients will be issued receipts for any treatment provided and will need to seek any reimbursement from WCB directly.
