The Radix Pain & Rehabilitation Centre is currently accepting new patients. Our chiropractors regularly perform intake examinations and treatment for motor vehicle accident claim victims through the Alberta Motor Vehicle Accident Claims Program

The Radix Pain & Rehabilitation Centre does not consult for WCB directly. Any WCB (Workers Compensation Board) cases interested in our team's services must first obtain approval from their WCB case manager or treating physician.  Such patients will be required to make payment for services and then seek reimbursement from WCB.  The Radix Pain & Rehabilitation Centre does not accept the WCB fee schedule and therefore does not provide direct billing for WCB claims.  Without prior approval from their case manager, patients may jeopardize their claim and ability to be reimbursed fully for the services.

The Radix Pain & Rehabilitation Centre values our Veterans' service and considers it a privilege to serve DVA patients. The office will oversee direct billing for their pensionable conditions with Medavie Blue Cross directly and is happy to coordinate care plans with case managers when required.

Dr. Farrell also takes a special interest in neurological rehabilitation for vertigo and concussion syndromes.

Dr. Farrell also regularly consults for medicolegal purposes.  Please refer to the section here for more information on these services and fees.

Dr. Farrell is a certified Interactive Metronome Home Provider.  He offers programs for clients interested in pursuing this as a treatment option for various conditions.  To learn more about the Interactive Metronome, please refer to their website here.

"Chiropractic" literally means "done by hand." As such, our approach adopts a "hands-on" style of treatment and uses a variety of techniques such as Diversified and Gonstead. Deep muscle release techniques and or acupuncture are often used to support manipulation when tight muscles are associated with neck pain, lower back pain, jaw pain, shoulder pain, TMJ, foot/ankle pain, elbow, and wrist pain syndromes. We believe that muscles should be treated with the joints to enhance the effects of treatment provided. For this reason, our treatment times are longer to allow us the time to support our manipulations with targeted muscle work where required.

Technique selection is adapted to suit the patient's symptomatic presentation, state of health, treatment goals, and preference. Some patients find it difficult to "relax." Low-force adjusting techniques are usually preferred in these circumstances, such as Activator or Drop piece style care. We offer both. The goal is to release tight muscles and stiff joints, and we will choose techniques that ensure your comfort. We don't force anything.

A variety of chiropractic techniques exist. Different training institutions will have a different balance of focus awarded to various techniques resulting in different chiropractors treating a problem differently. These differences can be frustrating for patients that have had success with one practitioner and may have moved and are now looking to find someone who does it the same as Dr. "X" did!

Our clinicians are always open to communicating with your previous provider to ensure good continuity of care in situations where a patient is transferring to our office.
