Chiropractic services are claimable for reimbursement from private health insurance plans as "chiropractic services."

Acupuncture services provided by a chiropractor are only claimable for reimbursement from private health insurance plans as "chiropractic services" and NOT as "acupuncture services" by most health plans.

Our office uses direct billing for Alberta Blue Cross, ASEBP, ARTA, Canada Life, Greenshield, Medavie Blue Cross, Manulife, Telus eClaims billing service, Provider Connect, and SunLife, Claims Secure, Group Health, Group Source amongst others to offer more direct billing options for patients. Please contact your insurer directly if you are unsure whether your insurance plan allows direct billing. We are unable to determine this prior to your initial consultation for you.

Some direct billing insurers require an additional completed consent form. This will be emailed to you by through our service provided by Wondershare by our Admin following your initial consultation. This Wondershare form (similar to Docusign) must be received and completed within 72 hours of our office sending it (we will send it within 72 hours of the appointment). Please monitor your spam folder in this period if you would like the clinic to direct bill on your behalf. Should your insurance details change, the same policy will apply, and a new authorization will be required. Failure to provide the authorization forms or correct/updated information will result in your credit card being charged the full treatment value and an invoice issued. The patient will need to submit the invoice to their insurance for reimbursement. The clinic will not process direct billing for administrative reasons beyond 72 hours of a visit.

Many patients have multiple plans. We cannot always direct bill both plans due to insurance policy-related processes outside our office's control. In such instances, an invoice will be provided so a patient may submit it to a secondary insurer for further reimbursement if the clinic cannot complete both on their behalf.
